The following is a translation of a French copy of verses,
being the substance of the King of Prussia's advice to his
son the Prince Royal, during his late illness.
  The rank we bear is generally envied:
  But we must quit it, my son, when we come to die.
  The vain grandeur ought not to puff us up;
  It is a torrent we see roll away in a moment.
